Description :
  • Lead the real estate Project Management Office (PMO) team in the delivery of multiple CRE projects of various sizes across Canada, including the application of internal project management processes and practice:
     
    • forecasting future resource capacity and project delivery strategies;
    • work with internal stakeholders to define project scope, goals and deliverables that support the business objectives;
    • manage expectations of internal project stakeholders, at all levels, from the project sponsors down to the project team;
    • oversee the closure of projects with follow-up reporting to approval committees;
    • attending various steering committee and CRE leadership meetings, representing the PMO interests;
    • reporting on program level performance;
    • work with the CRE leadership team on improving the established project processes and templates;
    • active management and development of internal project management resources; 
       
  • Guide the PMO team to:
    • identify and manage project dependencies and critical path tasks;
    • manage the day-to-day deliverables of all project resources and provide guidance and leadership throughout the project life cycle;
    • meet CRE project management KPI’s
    • work with Deloitte global procurement or direct procurement where appropriate to engage third party vendors; and
    • producing accurate representations of project progress, health, risks, and ongoing challenges.
       
  • Provide guidance and oversight for the project team on the new Deloitte Calgary office project, working with the onsite project coordinator and the remote Project Manager and contracted Construction Manager. Your duties will include, but will not be limited to the following:
    • conduct periodic site visits to monitor the progress of construction and review that work is generally proceeding in a good and workmanlike manner and in general accordance with the drawings and specifications;
    • guide the project team on the delivery of their project roles and responsibilities;
    • produce monthly, project specific, executive level reports; and ensure that the project consultants and contractors are fulfilling their contractual obligations.
Requirements :
  • A university degree (in Business, Architecture, Engineering, Interior Design or equivalent field)
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification required
  • Experience working in a professional corporate environment required
  • Solid demonstrated knowledge of Canadian Construction Documents Committee (CCDC) contract documents
  • 15+ years of experience in construction project management, with minimum experience of three recent significant office interior fit-up projects
  • Demonstrated understanding and experience in project management best practices
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and successfully including at the program level
  • Proven experience and capability to contribute to the decision-making needed to introduce process change/transformation into internal business teams
  • A track record of building strong relationships with internal clients and external business partners
  • Outstanding interpersonal written and verbal communication and documentation skills
  • Good skills and knowledge of facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency
  • Understanding of commercial real estate is an asset
  • Demonstrated knowledge in MS Project
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
